Being You: 4 Ways To BRING IT ON

Been thinking about the direction I want my life to go to and my past. Ive been feeling curious if anyone has felt the same.

  1. I am DIFFERENT from where I was 5 years ago.  I think before I talk and am more respectful to those around me.
  2. Friendships CHANGE. It is inevitable. I have been struggling with not beating myself up for not making old friendships a constant priority. TRUE friends can pick up where they left off and we will reconnect when we can.
  3. I am RESILIENT. A bad day at work or a rough day with the baby does not get to me anymore. I have a support system of friends, family, and coping mechanisms to help take a step back.
  4. I feel GRATEFUL for every single day. Not everyday is promised and I have been doing the best I can to cherish the day to day, even if there is not AMAZING things happening every day.

SO, I challenge you to consider these 4 things:

  1. Accept that with time we are DIFFERENT than who we once were and that is NOT a bad thing.

  2. Friendships may CHANGE but true friendships will have flexibility.

  3. Be RESILIENT and do not sweat the small stuff. This too does and shall pass.

  4. GRATEFULNESS helps keep you centered. Try to make today the best day it can be.

  1. This is totally where I am at in so many ways too, especially the friendship thing. I’ve really started to guard my heart more and be okay with some friendships not growing further.

  2. First of all, your outfit is so cute!! Secondly, those are some great reflection points. I’m so grateful that I am not who I once was! I have grown so much over the past few years. And I’m definitely working on cultivating an attitude of gratefulness on a daily basis, even when times get tough!

  3. Lovely lovely post. We all need to hear this. Our situations do not have to define us. Things change, we need to learn to adapt. We learn from experience so we can be better than we have been. Bad days shouldn’t translate to bad attitudes. We have to see the positive in negative situations. Awesome post.

  4. What a nice post. Yes, good friends can always pick back up where we left off. That’s what makes them great. What helps center me? I write in a journal. Not one of those bullet journals where people do a good job of making it look nice – no, just writing in one of those black and white notebooks. Helps me think, clear my mind and plan for the future. I like to re-list my goals often so I stay on track.

  5. Thanks for sharing this mood-lifting post. Your happy vibes can certainly spread. I’ve always been a little “different” when it comes to friendships because I’m an introvert. I don’t have a “best friend” and I don’t have a lot of friends. When I was younger this used to bother me. But as I’ve grown older I love spending time by myself. I love having a small group of 5 reliable friends. I also have a very supportive husband now and as a newlywed that feels good.

  6. On bad days, I can get overwhelmed with all that is going wrong. BUT if I can find one thing that was good and celebrate that, I can focus on that one thing. Sometimes you can’t win the day, but you can always find good in the day.
